Avoriaz sits at 1,800m at the heart of the vast Portes du Soleil, offering almost 600km of pistes across 12 linked resorts in France and Switzerland. From Avoriaz, the ski area spreads through sectors including Arare, Fornet, Chavanette, and Lindarets, with a mix of green, blue, red, and black runs. Its central position makes it easy to ski towards Chatel and Morzine, or cross into Switzerland via Chavanette and Mossettes. More experienced skiers can take on the famous Swiss Wall, one of the steepest marked runs in the Alps, while Avoriaz also offers snowparks and snowcross areas for freestyle skiing and snowboarding.
