"What's not to love about Park City? As well as having its own phenomenal ski area – now the biggest in the USA, Park City sits right beside Deer Valley meaning you've got two world-class resorts on your doorstep (not to mention Snowbird and Alta, plus Solitude and Brighton a short distance away). The town of Park City offers a huge choice of great bars and restaurants and we found the short transfer of around 45 minutes from Salt Lake City a huge plus."
Park City Ski Holidays
Park City in the western Rockies proudly bears the title of the USA’s biggest ski area. Boasting a glorious 7,300 acres of varied ski terrain (that’s more than Vail and Beaver Creek combined), this is a truly outstanding destination.
Explore the slopes
With over 330 marked trails, six terrain parks, 13 powder bowls, a fantastic family fun zone and bountiful amounts of Utah’s acclaimed light, dry snow (billed as the ‘Greatest Snow on Earth’), Park City is unbeatable when it comes to varied skiing and snowboarding. The lower slopes are a beginner’s paradise, delivering wide, gentle tree-lined runs. Head a little further up, to the mid-mountain, and you’ll find a great choice of easy and intermediate runs perfect for building confidence and skiing as a mixed group. The top section of the mountain is where you’ll find challenging double black diamond runs, exhilarating hike-to-terrain and staggering views of the Wasatch mountains.
If you’re looking for long, cruising runs, The Canyons is the place to go. You’ll find the runs much longer here and there are some lovely gladed areas if you fancy having a go at tree skiing. And if all that mileage isn’t quite enough, the neighbouring resort of Deer Valley (separate lift ticket) also offers spectacular skiing, although, sadly, snowboarding isn’t allowed.
Enjoy the resort
Historic downtown Park City, originally named Treasure Mountain during the silver mining boom, is full of character. It’s a lovely place for a stroll, popping into quirky little boutiques, cafes and delis along the way. When the sun goes down, the myth of Utah being a ‘dry state’ is swiftly debunked by the colourful collection of over 100 lively bars and restaurants.
Over the years, the resort has expanded to include modern developments at both the Park City and Canyons Village ski bases, offering convenient slopeside accommodation and contemporary luxury. Both bases offer their own choice of après-ski from stylish hotel lounges to saloon-inspired distilleries. As you might expect from a resort of this size, there’s a huge menu of non-skiing activities including bobsleighing, dog sledding, cat-skiing and winter fly fishing. Don’t miss a ride on the Park City Alpine Coaster, one of the world’s longest toboggan runs for a pure hit of adrenaline.
Where to stay
From fabulous five-star hotels offering refined luxury, unparalleled facilities and the most attentive service to cosy mountain lodges offering excellent value and spacious living, our featured Park City accommodation doesn’t disappoint. Many of our hotels are nestled right next to the slopes, so that all you have to worry about in the morning is enjoying a hearty breakfast, clipping on your skis or board, and gliding off to enjoy another amazing day on the slopes. You could also choose lodgings with a vibrant downtown location in the heart of Park city’s best bars and restaurants.

Après-Ski in Park City
Park City has two energetic après locations depending on where you finish your ski day. If you’re staying in Canyons Village then pretty much everything is slopeside, with a choice of bars spread throughout the village core. On the other hand, if you finish your ski day at the Park City Village end of the resort, then you have two choices – on-mountain at the base or in-town which is a very short free bus-ride away. Here’s a few suggestions to try:
Umbrella Bar
Great for quick après beers and appetizers. Located right at the base of the mountain in Canyons Village. Pretty small inside but with great 360 degree views. There’s a massive sun deck outside though with a couple of firepits.
Drafts Burger Bar
Features more than 50 beers from round the world including 20 beers on tap. This is an award-winning, elegant and comfortable gastro-pub, serving great burgers, spicy wings and more, all in a sports-bar style setting in the Westgate Park City Resort.
No Name Saloon & Grill
Main Street après mayhem since 1959. This is a very cool bar filled with décor collected from afar. With a big main bar and an upstairs mezzanine plus a loft, this is a big place with a big reputation – the bar that made Park City famous.
Boneyard Saloon & Kitchen
Park City’s best place to catch a game. This is a busy, energetic bar with loads of local beers on tap, home-made pizzas, juicy burgers, a solid wine collection and a genuine locals vibe. Voted Park City’s best bar in 2022.
Pig Pen Saloon
Right at the mountain base on the Park City Village side of the resort, this is a classic slopeside après bar with burgers and comfort food, great beer choices, hand-crafted cocktails and a sunny deck with ski mountain views.
Dining in Park City
Park City has a huge choice of restaurants serving cuisine from all over the globe. You’ll find some of the USA’s best fine-dining restaurant venues here with exquisite menus and extensive wine lists, but you’ll also find wild west saloons, burger joints, sushi, pasta, pizza and much more.
Edge Steakhouse
Traditional American steak-house favourites backed up by specialty appetizers and innovative side-dishes. This is an award-winning steakhouse that supports locally-sourced and organically grown produce. Expect an extensive wine list, top-quality USDA certified prime aged beef, Wagyu beef and wild caught fish. This is a special occasion must-visit. For something even more special – try the Edge 360 Dining Experience: an outdoor dining pod experience like no other!
Fletcher’s
Inspired by their rescue dog Fletcher’s happy nature, the owners of Fletcher’s created a restaurant dedicated to making people happy. Expect healthy locally-sourced produce delivering a wonderful menu, a great cocktail list and a super ambience.
Five 5eeds
Serving breakfast and lunch. Expect seriously good coffee and the very best in local seasonal produce, with an Australian foodie twist. Try the Pulled Pork Benedict for breakfast or the Chicken Parmy Sando for lunch.
Yuki Yama Sushi
Yuki Yama (snowy mountain in Japanese) is located in the heart of Main Street in Park City downtown, and offers traditional fresh Japanese sushi and noodle dishes as well as more creative modern sashimi plates.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House
This is how steak is done. All steaks are cooked using a patented broiling method and served on 500-degree plates. If steak is your thing then this will be a truly memorable experience.
Butcher’s Chop House & Bar
Great steaks at an affordable price. Expect classic steak, chops, pasta and seafood options in the Caledonian Hotel at the base of the Town Lift in the heart of old town Park City. Locally owned and fully family-friendly.
Annex Burger
Family friendly burger joint owned by and next door to, No Name Saloon. Expect world famous buffalo burgers, a great kids menu and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
Twisted Fern
Creative, conscientious New American fare is at the forefront of everything at Twisted Fern. The menu is small, but perfectly formed, and the cocktail list is exceptional – a Smoky Hibiscus Margarita should get the night moving along nicely.

Your Travel Document package was excellent and comprehensive.Aodhan Boylan was excellent. Very attentive and thorough.
Park City (and Alta) were outstanding - no queues (longest queue was 3 minutes using Singles entry to chair) and loads of snow. Ski rental was excellent. They willingly changed the skis mid-week. Voucher for lift ticket worked really well. Virtually no queue, and able to get lift pass before tows opened.

The road trip that you organised for us after our skiing, from SLC, down through some Utah national parks, Grand Canyon and home from LAS was spectacular. Can't recommend it too highly. Your advice meant we visited one park (Capitol Reefs) that we wouldn't have done, and which turned out to be our favourite. Huge thank-you to everyone.
