"With a huge snow record, massive vertical, and three amazing mountains, Red is an exceptional ski destination where you never have to fight for freshies!"
Red Mountain Ski Holidays
Guests return to Red Mountain year after year because, at this BC classic, the adventure never lets up. Fiercely independent and located in Rossland, BC, Red is a place of powerful contrasts - home to the oldest resort in Western Canada, yet also the site of one of the most significant terrain expansions in the past decade.
Explore the slopes
Proudly Canadian and just minutes from the U.S. border in the snowy Kootenay Mountains, Red is known for its unpretentious vibe and expansive terrain—3,850 acres, ranking it among the Top 10 largest ski resorts in North America. With nearly 3,000 feet of vertical, 300 inches of annual snowfall, pay-per-run in-bounds cat-skiing, and five skiable peaks, Red delivers a diverse and unforgettable mountain experience. From legendary tree runs and pristine powder to perfectly groomed cruisers, plus Ikon Pass access and recognition as Canada’s #1 Ski Town two years running, Red has evolved from a hidden gem into the Next Big Thing.
Split over multiple peaks, with 270-360 degree descent options, skiers and boarders disperse throughout the resort meaning fewer lift lines and more fresh turns. From the top of each lift accessed peak there is an easier way down (blue or green) so mixed ability groups can ride the lift together then choose their own adventure for the way down. It also allows improving intermediates to explore the whole ski area and take in the spectacular views often reserved for the more advanced.
Enjoy the resort
The vibrant little alpine mountain town of Rossland is a short shuttle ride away from the main ski base at Red Mountain and is a magnet for adventure seekers. This is a mountain community with a focus on fun, backed up with all the facilities you’d expect, full of locally owned bars and restaurants, boutique shopping, inspiring arts & culture and authentic nightlife.
Where to stay
Accommodation options range from modern slope-side condos and suites at The Daly and The Crescent along with ski-in/ski-out boutique hotel, The Josie.
