Megève Ski Holidays
The historic ski town of Megève has been attracting the European elite since the roaring 20s. This exclusive and upmarket ski destination is renowned for being equally fabulous for both skiers and non-skiers.
Explore the slopes
Part of the extensive Evasion Mont Blanc ski area, Megève delivers 400km of gorgeous pistes, ranging from gentle tree-lined slopes to wide, open snow bowls. Spread across three main areas – Rochebrune, Mont d'Arbois and Jaillet – the skiing may not be completely interlinked but it is certainly varied.
Megève is a fantastic place to learn to ski or snowboard with almost half of the runs classified green or blue, and beginner slopes at all altitudes across the mountains. Advanced skiers can head to the Mont Joly area of Mont d'Arbois and the Côte 2000 area on the Rochebrune mountain for challenging reds and blacks.
If you love the thrill of going off-piste, Megève boasts tremendous powder terrain when conditions are good. If you fancy giving freestyle a shot, why not book a session with the ESF so you can hone your skills at the Rochebrune snow park?
Enjoy the resort
Megève’s beautiful medieval centre has expanded over the years to include a wide range of stylish boutiques, smart restaurants (some of them Michelin-starred) and ultra-luxurious hotels. The pedestrianised cobbled streets of the centre are a magical place for an evening stroll, as horse-drawn sleighs pass you by and families enjoy the open air ice rink.
Le Palais sports centre is a hit with families, with swimming pools, ice rinks, fitness rooms and a host of relaxing wellness facilities to enjoy. The menu of resort activities is huge, covering everything from snow shoeing to paintballing.
As you might expect from such a glamorous place, Megève is packed with high-end bars and clubs and the recent addition of the Folie Douce at the top of the Mont Joux chairlift brings a touch of fun to the slopes of this charming destination.
Where to stay
We feature a selection of Megève’s most luxurious 4 and 5-star hotels situated in superb locations throughout the resort. Choose to base yourself in the heart of the resort, close to those glittering restaurants and bars, or next to the slopes for unrivalled access to the resort’s fantastic skiing.
Whether you’re dreaming of classic luxury or smaller Savoyard hotels showcasing a rustic mountain décor alongside first-class service, our hand-picked collection of Megève hotels won’t disappoint.
