Enjoy the Slopes

Gstaad offers excellent skiing opportunities for all abilities. Many holiday makers rarely venture out on the slopes (too busy enjoying the designer boutiques and excellent restaurant scene) which makes for wonderfully quiet runs. 

Visitors to Gstaad have access to four different ski areas. The largest is the Rinderberg-Saanersloch-Horneggli area. Accessible by rail from the centre of Gstaad, here you’ll find 105km of blue, red and black runs as well as some excellent mountain restaurants. Although Gstaad is German-speaking, it sits right on the border of a French-speaking canton. Explore the 58km of the Eggli-La Videmanette ski area and you’ll notice the language switch to French down at Rougemont. A well-kept secret with the locals, one lift at Wasserngrat offers some steep and challenging descents, particularly in deep powder conditions. Further afield and a short bus journey from Gstaad, you’ll find Glacier 3000 with 28km of top notch high altitude skiing.
