Banff gives skiers access to three separate ski areas - Sunshine Village, Lake Louise and Banff Mount Norquay – all covered by the SkiBig3 lift pass and connected to the town by the free shuttles. Sunshine Village is known for its long, groomed runs and high-altitude power, with the famous Delerium Drive offering challenging expert terrain. Lake Louise Ski Resort has over 4,200 acres of skiing including the famous World Cup Downhill and extensive Back Bowls, while smaller Banff Mount Norquay is great for tree-lined runs, beginners and night skiing. Sunshine and Lake Louise also offer excellent spring skiing, often continuing into May.
