Peisey-Vallandry combines a traditional style village with access to an enormous high-altitude ski area and is a quieter alternative to nearby Les Arcs.
The valley of Peisey Vallandry sits in the heart of the Paradiski area with easy access to some of the best tree-lined skiing in Les Arcs. The Vanoise Express cable car is right next to Peisey Vallandry providing easy access to the slopes of La Plagne as well. So whether you prefer to explore Les Arcs or La Plagne both are easily accessible. Overlooking the Tarentaise valley, the pretty resort of Vallandry benefits from long hours of sunshine and a superb landscape.
Although smaller than Les Arcs, the village has everything you need for your holiday including a selection of shops, restaurants and bars. There's also a great choice of excellent value apartments - the perfect choice for a fantastic family ski holiday.
Skiing in Peisey-Vallandry
Peisey-Vallandry is the perfect base for anyone wanting to make the most of the vast Paradiski ski area which runs from La Plagne to Les Arcs, connected by the Vanoise Express lift. Beginners will enjoy the wide choice of gentle and spacious tree-lined pistes running down to the resort and there are plenty of ski school options to help you develop your skills.
For the intermediate skier, there are numerous long cruisy blue runs while more confident skiers will find challenging reds and blacks as well as excellent off piste to explore, with a guide.

Après-Ski in Peisey-Vallandry
There is a selection of shops, restaurants and cafés in Vallandry and Plan Peisey to choose from. The atmosphere is generally family orientated so the bars and restaurants provide an informal relaxed atmosphere.
The snowfront above Peisey Nancroix is often lively in the late afternoon as the slopeside bars fill up with people returning from their expeditions to the far corners of the vast Paradiski region. Greg’s Bar is usually a lively choice, open to the small hours most evenings.
Dining in Peisey-Vallandry
There are a number of places to eat dotted around the different hamlets making up Peisey-Vallandry, with the greatest concentration slopeside at Plan Peisey and Peisey Nancroix. With the area’s strong reputation for being a genuine, traditional French community, many restaurants are small, family run establishments using ingredients sourced from local farms.
La Ferme in Plan Peisey is an established option as is Le Solan d'Aniathazze.
Activities in Peisey-Vallandry
Nordic skiing is what Peisey-Vallandry is especially famous for and lessons can be arranged for all ability levels from complete novice up. There is also a shooting range nearby used for biathlon if you fancy a taster session.
Other outdoor options include ice climbing, snowshoeing and winter hiking on cleared trails. There's also a cinema and museum.
