*UK domestic flight add-ons with British Airways > the baggage allowance is dictated by the airline you check-in with. For example: a Manchester departure on British Airways (UK domestic flight) connecting at Heathrow onto an Air Canada transatlantic flight would mean the BA baggage policy would apply outbound (and vice-versa on the inbound). Please note that for clients flying on British Airways UK domestic connections onto Air Canada transatlantic flights, the extra baggage charges can’t be actioned online, and can only be purchased at the airport.
*Free ski carriage > if you take ski equipment (skis + poles + boots or snowboard + boots) then this extra bag can now be taken as a free item. Please note that if you are travelling with skis and boots, and your ski boots are carried in a separate bag to your skis, the extra bag charge is waived. If you are not taking skis or snowboards, but are taking boots in a separate boot-bag, then this boot-bag is now regarded as a free item. The free ski carriage policy may not apply to non-continuous flight itineraries for onward travel within Canada – for example if you stop over for a night(s) in Vancouver en-route to your final destination, then normal extra baggage fees may apply for the internal flight within Canada. If you are travelling outbound on a British Airways UK domestic connection onto an Air Canada transatlantic flight, the free ski carriage does not apply to the outward journey.
Pre-bookable seating
Air Canada has adjusted its seating policy for all flight bookings. For passengers travelling on most Economy flight tickets there is no longer a free seating policy and you now have the option of either paying in advance for pre-assigned seating (until 24 hours prior to departure), or waiting until online checkin opens 24 hours before your flight departs to secure the seat of your choice. Pre-bookable seating varies hugely in price - please call us for details and availability. If you want to make a purchase for seating, then we need to take payment for the flight element of your booking in full, and we'll then issue your flight tickets. The functionality will then open and you'll be able to pre-purchase seating on-line via www.aircanada.com using your specific airline reference (which we will give you). Bookings in certain higher fares in economy, most bookings with children and for those of you flying in Premium Economy and Signature Class cabins are unaffected by this policy. We will endeavour to make sure all passengers get the correct information pertinent to their specific flight booking(s) and will help with the process. We currently can’t make seating purchases on behalf of clients.
Special meals
Should any of your party require a special meal such as vegetarian, kosher or child meal on the transatlantic sections of your flight booking then this must be booked at least 7 days in advance. Please let us know as soon as possible and we’ll ensure these items are added. Remember that meal types are limited, so if you have very specific needs then it is best to take your own food with you.
Special requests
If any of your party require special assistance we can arrange this at all airports – please call us so we can assess the correct level of assistance you require. If you have food allergies or are carrying an Epi-pen or injectable medication or if there is anything else the cabin crew should be aware of confidentially, please call us for advice on 0131 243 8097.
Frequent flyer memberships
Please let us have your membership numbers and details - we will ensure these are added to your flight booking.
