On 30th January the new Le Scandinave Spa Whistler will open, adding a unique, Nordic dimension to Whistler’s wellness treatment offerings. Scandinave Spa Whistler is the first spa of its kind on the west coast of Canada. Using the age-old Finnish tradition of hydrotherapy, Scandinave Spa Whistler creates a spa experience that generates a sense of wellbeing. Nestled on the edge of Lost Lake and Spruce Grove parks, only a few minutes from Whistler Village, the baths are surrounded by the natural beauty of Whistler. [caption id="attachment_666" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Scandinave Spa Whistler"][/caption] The baths experience includes eucalyptus steam baths, wood burning Finnish saunas, outdoor hot baths, thermal and Nordic waterfalls, cold baths and showers, solariums and terraces, relaxation areas, hammocks and outdoor fireplaces. The spa also offers massages such as Swedish, Sports, Hot Stone and Thai Yoga to complement the baths experience. Le Scandinave Spa will provide a perfect compliment to Whistler’s stunning Coast Mountain beauty, a welcome addition to post-powder pampering options in the winter. Start with a soothing eucalyptus steam bath or wood burning sauna and then a cool off with a quick plunge in a cold bath or Nordic waterfalls. The last step is to relax in the solarium or by the outdoor fireplaces. The hot/cold baths are repeated three times for maximum benefit, so take your time and go at your own pace. The Scandinave Spa is open 10am to 9pm and entrance to the Scandinave baths is CAD$55 for a 2-3 hour experience, with a variety of spa packages available. All visitors to Scandinave must be at least 19 years of age.
