"A ski day in Deer Valley is always going to be a great ski day! The service both on and off the slopes is exceptional – every guest is a VIP here. The grooming is second to none but there is some fun challenging skiing too, especially the runs off skiers left of Empire Express chair. Exciting times are coming too, this winter Deer Valley will open the first part of the expansion that will see the ski area more than double in size."

Deer Valley Ski Holidays

Deer Valley Resort is located in Park City, Utah and is next to Park City Mtn and is one of Utah's best ski holiday choices. It is a 'skiers only' resort, where snowboarding is not permitted.

Deer Valley is an unashamedly upscale ski resort renowned for its exclusivity and unrivalled service. Deer Valley offers (took out Look Hard, seems a little negative) steeps and tree runs aplenty but Deer Valley is aimed fair and square at less aggressive skiers who appreciate the best things in life - untouched perfectly groomed corduroy being one of them!

Deer Valley offers a relatively short transfer from Salt Lake City airport (only 36 miles) and a concentration of luxury ski hotels. Alternatively for more moderately priced lodging you'll find a variety of options in the town of Park City which is a short shuttle ride away.

Skiing in Deer Valley

Deer Valley has fantastic skiing on varied terrain spread over four mountains, and a bounty of 25 feet of powder snow each year. If you love skiing on perfectly prepared groomers on pristine Utah powder then Deer Valley is the place for you.

Skiers of all abilities are spoilt for choice at here - whether you’re gently snowploughing down the network of green runs that stretch from the highest points to the base area, or carving high speed GS turns down the corduroy steeps - skiing here is sure to put a big smile on your face. And if there’s fresh snow overnight, as is often the case here, there are endless outstanding powder stashes, glades and tree runs on offer – head to Centennial bowl for some truly amazing terrain that will leave you gasping for more.

A stop for gourmet dining at one of the three elegant day lodges is a must – quite probably the best on-mountain dining in North America. A trip to neighbouring Park City Mountain should also be on your ‘to do list’ – another world-class resort, and the USA's biggest resort with over 7000+ acres of prime Utah terrain, within easy reach of Deer Valley, served by the free local bus.

For the 2025/26 ski season, Deer Valley unveils nearly 100 new ski runs, 10 new chairlifts, and the 10-passenger East Village Express Gondola, connecting the new Deer Valley East Village with Park Peak. This is part of a transformational vision that more than doubles our skiable terrain of the resort. Deer Valley will remain ski only.

Après-Ski in Deer Valley

The Deer Valley base area isn’t huge, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality with wonderful fine dining and boutique shopping.

Choose from a range of three après-ski bars - The Brass Tag, Edgar’s Beer and Spirits Lounge, Royal Street Café - and just one mile away is Park City’s historic Main Street, with a plethora of great dining and après-ski options.

Dining in Deer Valley

In the evening, Deer Valley offers a choice of five restaurants (The Mariposa, Royal Street Café, Seafood Buffet, Fireside Dining and The Brass Tag) and if you want a daytime dining experience you can choose from eight different options (Silver Lake Restaurant, Snow Park Restaurant, Royal Street Café, Bald Mountain Pho, Empire Canyon Grill, Snowshoe Tommy’s, Cushing’s Cabin, Deer Valley Café).

Deer Valley is so close to Park City that you can easily sample the huge number of restaurants and below is just a small selection. Advanced reservations of restaurants are strongly recommended, especially during the hours of 7pm – 9pm. For busy periods, such as the festive season and Easter, and for larger parties, this is even more important. The dress code in Deer Valley is comfortable and casual. Some people do choose to dress up, but it is certainly not a requirement.

350 Main

Voted best restaurant in Park City in 2007. The menu at 350 Main comprises of delicious signature dishes such as a Tower of Ahi and Hamachi and Black Pepper Crusted Venison Medallions. “At 350 Main, we strive to use only the freshest available products for menu preparation: those that are naturally or organically grown, and environmentally responsible whenever possible. Bon Appétit!” - Chef Michael LeClerc

Blind Dog Grill

In 1988 Blind Dog was a tiny, family operated restaurant with the beginning of a great idea. "With all of the right ingredients: fresh fish flown in from everywhere, hand cut prime meats with two people in the kitchen and about the same out front to serve our fare. We cooked everything, and I do mean everything, from scratch in our closet of a kitchen. We still do. Eight years later we doubled in size, added a beautiful yet cozy bar, created a catering company and we are home to the best sushi in Park City, Blind Dog Style of course!"

Chimayo – South Western

The cuisine created at Chumayo is not like the typical southwestern fare you may have had before. Here at Chimayo we blend integral Southwestern attributes with a progressive French-American technique of cooking creating our own special style of food preparation that is truly unique and different. The food here captures the best characteristics of the cuisine of the Southwest and rolls them seamlessly together with the more refined and elegant style of French-American gastronomy creating the special fare you will find on the menu.

Fireside Dining

As the name suggests, this unique dining experience takes you on a journey of Alpine "Fireside Dining". Diners will find a different course at each fireplace including Swiss raclettes, stews, salads, meats, delicious vegetables and side dishes. The final fireplace is where diners will find an array of deserts inlcuding chocolate fondue. You can also selected a wine or beer to complement each chosen course. Fireside Dining is open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.

Ghidottis

Unlike any restaurant you have visited in the past, Ghidotti’s seamlessly weaves the architecture, ambiance, food and service together into a fantastic dining experience for you to enjoy. Our cooking philosophy is that food should be prepared simply, allowing the freshest and most intriguing ingredients to speak for themselves. Italian.

Grappa

Grappa offers excellent Italian fine dining. Serving the tastiest of traditional Italian dishes with its own distinct style. Start with Vidalia Onion and Cheese Soufflé, followed by Pancetta and Pine Nut stuffed Pork Loin or Pesto Seared Halibut, and finish off with a Dark Chocolate Pave, washed down with a Grappa or Carvella Lemoncello. Italian.

The Mustang

Park City American fine dining at its best. Offering dishes such as Southwestern Duck Chile Relleno, mouth watering Steak Carpaccio, Tiger Shrimp Scampi and Traditional Hot Fudge Sundae.

Prime Steakhouse

If you are looking for great steak, this is THE place to go. And to back that up, it was voted the best steak house in Utah 2008!

In 1995, the Riverhouse became the first restaurant in Utah to receive the DiRoNA Award. This very prestigious honour, dedicated to ‘excellence in dining’, was bestowed that year on only 223 restaurants from throughout all of North America. The Riverhorse has maintained this distinguished honour ever since. It serves a mixture of fresh seafood, succulent meat and vegetarian dishes.
