Today we're celebrating women in winter sports, on the day Britain celebrates 100 years since women first gained the right to vote. Below you'll find Ski Independence's pick of women to watch at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics. Who's your one to watch, be they a Brit or an international athlete?
Amanda Lightfoot
"Amanda Lightfoot is the only Biathlete competing for Team GB at Pyeongchang. Cross country skiing is recognised as being the most physically demanding sport, so adding shooting to the mix demands incredible fitness, stamina and recovery. Sofia Goggia
"Italian Sofia Goggia will be racing in skiing Downhill, Super-G, GS and Combined. With two consecutive World Cup Downhill wins under her belt this season, Sofia Goggia is one of the favourites to win the Olympic Gold Medal. Emily Sarsfield

Katie Ormerod
"Katie Ormerod is an amazing snowboarder who cut her freestyle teeth on the Halifax dryslope. She narrowly missed out on qualifying for Sochi at just 15 years old! Mikaela Shiffrin
"Everyone’s talking about Mikaela Shiffrin, newly announced ambassador for the IKON Pass and team mate and rival to Lynsey Vonn. Shiffrin currently tops the 2018 FIS Alpine World Cup leader board by a huge margin. According to the Denver Post 'Mikaela Shiffrin will be a medal favorite in slalom, giant slalom and alpine combined at the PyeongChang Olympics, and she could contend in downhill and super-G.'" Eve Muirhead
And as for a home hero? Hailing from Blair Ahtoll in Perhshire, Eve Muirhead is skip for Team GB’s ladies curling team and was bronze medallist in the 2014 Sochi Games. Curling runs in the family blood and Muirhead’s two younger brothers are competing this year in the men’s team. Go Team Muirhead!
