Dining in Panorama
On-Mountain Dining
There are three on-mountain 'huts' or cabins in Panorama, all of which are open daily for lunch, and selectively for dinner (dinner reservations required).
The Elkhorn Cabin
The Elkhorn Cabin is a traditional Swiss-style mountain cabin situated right on the slopes, midway down ‘Rollercoaster’, and features amazing views out over the valley. If you’re looking to change down a gear and relax the pace somewhat then the Elkhorn is the place for you. Expect homemade soups and traditional raclette backed up by a selection of excellent BC wines and craft beers.
Hut 1 Cafe
This tiny mountain hut sits at the top of the Mile 1 Express chair and has some of the best views of the resort. This is a classic re-fuelling stop serving grilled burgers, coffees and cakes – perfect for a quick bite to eat or a real hot chocolate around the fire-pit on the extended deck.
Summit Hut
This is the perfect place for a coffee stop or a warm up round the log-burner prior to your monstrous black-diamond adventure into Taynton Bowl, or a cruise down Panorama’s front face. Sitting right at the top of the Summit Chair at 7,759ft, the views are simply spectacular! Expect a wood-heated treat of a cabin serving great burgers, sandwiches and soup as well as real hot chocolate, great local coffee and home-baking plus a selection of alcoholic drinks. On a sunny day, sitting out on the deck looking out over Taynton Bowl sipping a cold drink is something else!!
In-Resort Dining
Panorama has a good selection of restaurants throughout the village, ranging from down-to-earth après bars serving burgers + beers to fine-dining venues offering AAA steaks and paired wines.
T-Bar and Grill
The T-Bar & Grill is Panorama’s busy central apres-ski venue. This is a classic sports bar, with a fantastic range of drinks and food on the menu. Situated right at the base of the slopes in the Pine Inn, this is the perfect destination to enjoy a cold beer after your day’s exertions on the slopes, or maybe tuck into a juicy steak. This is a fabulous family-friendly venue offering laid-back apres-ski until the mid-evening. After dark though, the bar gets more energetic with live music and a pool table.
Alto Kitchen & Bar
With a bespoke Forno Bravo pizza oven as its centrepiece, Alto Kitchen & Bar is located in the village at the base of the main lift – the Mile 1 Express. It offers a great selection of Italian cuisine, an array of sharing platters and much more. Expect casual, upbeat dining featuring homemade pasta and pizzetas.
Fireside Café & Lounge
Before you head out to the slopes, call in at the Fireside Café & Lounge for a quick breakfast and a steaming hot cup of locally made Kicking Horse coffee. Also open for lunch, the café serves a variety of delicious baked goods, soups and sandwiches, all freshly prepared. There’s a pick-up window for coffee on the run. Located close to the Mile 1 Express lift in the village core.
Cliffhanger Restaurant
Located at the bottom of the Sunbird Chair in the Greywolf Golf Course clubhouse surrounded by stunning views of the Purcell Mountains, this is a fantastic lunch, dinner and après spot. Expect a choice of juicy AAA steaks, seafood and a selection of sharing plates and salads, together with some classic BC wines.
Choppers Landing
Located in the RK Heliski base lodge just a short walk from the main village core, Choppers Landing is a the perfect spot for cosy après beside the fire or for a relaxed dinner with friends and family. The views out over the resort and the mountain are exceptional.
