Dining in St Moritz

When it comes to dining in St Moritz, you’ll be totally spoilt for choice.

On the mountain

White Marmot offers delicious, refined cuisine in a beautifully smart setting. The panoramic views are incredible and its location at the top of the Chantarella funicular makes it ideal for meeting up with non-skiers too. If you don’t fancy keeping your ski boots on while enjoying a leisurely lunch, slippers are offered on arrival! Paradiso has a gorgeous sun terrace, which is perfect for making the most of the famous St Moritz sunshine. If you like drinking, dining and dancing, make a beeline for this glamorous St Moritz institution. For top quality Italian cuisine check out Langosteria, specialising in pasta and seafood. The sun terrace of the Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl is a fantastic spot on a sunny day with incredible views and good food. For something cosy and authentic, check out the Alpina Hütte – at over 100 year old it offers local specialities and home-style cooking. Plus it has a lovely sun terrace! Another cosy mountain hut is the Restaurant Trutz – a nice sun terrace, rustic interior and traditional food make this a welcoming option.

In the resort

You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options in St Moritz. All three restaurants at the Hotel Grace La Margna are excellent: the Beefbar restaurant has an incredible atmosphere and definitely merits a visit (make sure to book in advance); for a cosy Swiss dinner Stüvetta is an absolute delight; and the panorama from The View is stunning. The Chesa Veglia has been attracting locals and visitors for decades and houses the Patrizier Stuben and Pizzeria Heuboden serving delicious food in cosy, intimate surroundings. There’s a strong Italian influence in the area with many excellent Italian restaurants including La Scarpetta among others. Look out for pizzoccheri on the menu – a typical dish from the neighbouring Valtellina region in Italy it’s hearty mountain food consisting of potato, buckwheat flour pasta, cabbage, cheese and garlic butter.
