One question, “would you do it?” That was the question asked by Tourism Whistler last year when they launched the Whistler Sabbatical Project. Recognising many obstacles make it impossible to unplug from day to day life, the Whistler Sabbatical Project put the wheels in motion to offer one lucky winner an all expenses paid month long stay inWhistler. This once in a lifetime prize included airfares, transportation, accommodation, lift passes, ski / snowboard equipment, a salary plus a series of extraordinary priceless experiences.

Selected at random from 19,000 entrants, 10 finalists were asked to submit a 250 word essay on why they should win the top prize. After much deliberation, judges’ including Barrett Fisher, Tourism Whistler President & CEO, Whistler Mayor Nancy Wilhelm-Morden and Roger Soane, Chair of the Board of Directors at Tourism Whistler announced Luke Dillon from London as the lucky winner.

Arriving on the 19th of March, Luke and his best friend dubbed ‘tag along Tim’ spent the next 31 days enjoying everything Whistler had to offer, rumour has it they even managed 31 days après ski straight!

Here is a short video on what they call the 'best month ever'.
