Ski Independence go skiing! Many of the Ski Independence team have been out and about in the Alps and North America over the past few weeks fitting in some Early Season Skiing for 2015-16. With so much early season snowfall we've been feeling pretty spoiled.

For the lucky ones who've already notched up some ski days this season, we've enjoyed sunny skies, skied perfect groomers and discovered plenty of powder stashes. These 'fam' trips allow us to squeeze in some much sought-after early season turns but it's not all fun and games - there's a bit of work involved too (we promise)! The main purpose of these visits is to build on our knowledge of our featured properties and destinations, so when it comes to creating tailor-made packages we're best placed to choose the most suitable resort, accommodation and travel options - based on real experience.
Katie is just back from a week in Colorado, packing in visits to Vail, Breckenridge and Beaver Creek. Katie said of the trip, "Had the most amazing time – intense but so much fun! So great to see the resorts and hotels in real life rather than on the internet!"
Gareth, Craig and Aly recently road tripped around French Alps taking in the Portes du Soleil, the 3 Valleys and Paradiski. Properties they visited included the new 4-star Hotel La Tapiaz in Les Gets, the iconic Hotel Les Dromonts in Avoriaz (have a read of Karen's extensive review here) and the superb 5-star Hotel Altapura in Val Thorens.

Claire visited Saas Fee back in September, read more on her experiences here; Aodhan just spent a fabulous long weekend at the Hotel W in Verbier and Morven is in British Columbia this week. We've had photos from a snowy Sun Peaks and she travels to Whistler next - where it has just dumped another whopping 39cm!

Finally, our Managing Director Michael is on holiday right now for Val d'Isère's opening week. He reports "good skiing on piste" and "most runs and lifts open". Looking great for mid-December!
