About Anna

I've been skiing since I was 2, thanks to my ski instructor dad. Growing up, I spent a lot of time on the glorious slopes of Scotland braving the hail, fog and wind so strong you'd feel like you would be blown off the mountain - but that's all part of the adventure! Skiing has always been a big part of my life and I've been lucky enough to ski abroad almost every year.

Interesting fact:

I once skied in -40° conditions with some friends at a tiny resort in East Canada. After taking double the time to arrive because we were busy clearing ice off the windshield every five minutes, we had all the slopes to ourselves (can you guess why?) which was super fun, but to this day I don't think my friend has the feeling back in his toes...

What inspires you?

Nothing wakes me up faster in the morning than knowing I have a full ski day ahead of me. Flying down powdery off-pistes, eating Nutella-filled crepes and finding those fun little trails in the trees is all I can wish for. My favourite ski holidays have always been with my family. It's always a great time and without doubt there's a funny story that comes out of it!

What's your favourite resort, and why?

I loved skiing in Banff Sunshine a few times when I was younger and I really want to go back but overall, I would have to go with the 3 Valleys in France. That's where I've been to the most yet there's still so much area I haven't even skied. It's got something for everyone from wide peaceful, slopes in Val Thorens to the untamed world-famous Grand Couloir in Courchevel that will guarantee a wild time! And I can speak from experience that there's some great cafes around every corner!

My next trip:

This year I'm hopefully going to ski in Whistler for the first time. I've visited a few times but never managed to make it to the slopes so this will be exciting! I'd also love to visit Italy at some point in the near future and ski the Sella Ronda.
