November 2025
We're delighted to report that huge volumes of snow have arrived in the French, Swiss, Italian and Austrian Alps, with many resorts getting upwards of 70cm of heavy snow in the last few days. France has been especially snowy and many French resorts including La Plgane, Flaine and Avoriaz will open ahead of schedule this coming weekend.
Patrick Thorne from In The Snow Magazine said "Over the past few days, up to 70cm of fresh snow has fallen, blanketing slopes...with as much again in the forecast". And according to Snow Forecast, snow accumulations look like this:
- Avoriaz: 73cm in the last 4 days; 103cm more to fall
- Alpe d'Huez: 69cm in the last 4 days; 96cm in the forecast
- Val d'Isère 60cm in 4 days; 119cm in the forecast
- Lech & St Anton: 113cm to fall in the coming days
- Cervinia (Aosta Valley): 35cm in 4 days; 100cm to come
- Verbier: 44cm in 24 hours' 101cm in the forecast
- Les Arcs: 80cm in 4 days; 50cm+ to come
As you'll see from the photos below, the 2025/26 ski season should go off with a bang!
